Being at the Women of Color STEM Conference was a great learning experience. I got to understand more about women working in STEM fields and especially women working in Computer Science, Data Science, Cyber Security etc. I spoke to representatives from different companies like Raytheon, Oracle, NASA, MITRE, Ericsson, NetApp, and ITHAKA and each representative taught me about future opportunities for CS majors and even internships that I could apply for a start within a year or two. Each company had something different to bring to the table in terms of the things I could learn and add to my resume and future hands-on experiences with almost any CS related field. Overall, this conference was a great learning experience and I would love to go again in the future.
